This concrete placement at a mid-century modern classic in the hills of Pasadena is an example of
exquisite craftsmanship. The driveway was poured with ½ strength fawn color and the surface was
seeded with an imported del rio stone. The surface is washed later during the placement process to
expose the del rio stone to enhance the color and texture of the concrete.
The decking area and steps were poured with a ½ strength fawn and tightly acid washed to give the
homeowner a slip resistant surface without being too rough on bare feet.
